The nicest Bulgarian holiday – 24 May

The nicest Bulgarian holiday – 24 May4.4533

Congratulations to all Bulgarians for the Bulgarian Education and Culture, and Slavic Script Day!

On this day, I was among my compatriots in Brussels to celebrate this most beautiful of our  Bulgarian holidays. I had the honour to hand the diplomas for the successful end of the year to tens of Bulgarian kids studying in the Bulgarian school “P.K.Yavorov” in Brussels. Every single school has the noble mission to enlighten its pupils.  Truly noble is the mission of this one in Brussels– to give the opportunity to the children of our compatriots at the heart of Europe to keep their connections with the language, culture and history of their own country. Some of them travel long distance in order to be able to study in Bulgarian.

Another event marked the big Bulgarian holiday. The Bulgarian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Belgium, Hristo Georgiev, planted Bulgarian roses in the Rose Garden Coloma and we put a plate with the name of our country near the most aromatic Bulgarian symbol in order to make it even more popular among all the visitors of the rosarium.

I would like to use the opportunity to thank to all the Bulgarians around the world who sent me by e-mail their greetings for the holiday.
