It’s always easy to blame others, but blame doesn’t often solve problems. It’s ridiculous to think that denouncing others on a website will make Netherlands or EU a better place.
What next? Is your wife annoying you? Forget Valentine’s Day – log on and denounce her!
Have you always disliked blonde hair? Denounce blondes!
Let’s get real.
I don’t know about you, but openness and tolerance, hard work and trusting others are my values. And I know that people who come to the Netherlands work hard and many of us depend on their contributions. That is not something to denounce or dismiss in such difficult times.

Thanks for the comment…tastes good… to lick our fingers by….greetz
I totally agree.
Thanks for your work!
What is served by the understatement ‘blame doesn’t often solve problems’ here? To blame someone else, as opposed to call upon one’s (including oneself) responsebility, never has solved any problem. Instead, blaming someone else always obstructs humane solutions, by creating additional complexity and noise to the underlying problem.
Blamings other can be understood as a non-emancipated outburst of former withheld frustration, though. Understanding the dynamics of this process can help in rewinding complexity and get right to the bottom of problems. Let’s consider applying latest socio-psychological insight to unravel these darkening noises in our public debate.
Let’s conquer our own prejudice to the ones blaming others and see them for what they are in the psychological framework: vulnerable people projecting their fears on other vulnerable people. Let’s continue by adressing the real fears of the people blaming others, and reach out for them a helping hand, as it becomes so obvious to us what is driving them. As well as it becomes so obvious to us what is holding them back in constructive debate.
Can we do this, sophisticated getting real?
I don’t know if I want to live in my own country anymore. Because of what PVV is doing. It’s disgusting!
All the time I have to explain my foreign friends that this is NOT me. That I’m not the stereotype Dutchman either, as a matter of fact I am not at all. But that my value for the freedom to be who you are is so strong. I WANT people to be different, no matter how annoying that can be sometimes.
And now this. All my pride of how succesfull we are in creating a nation that can manage all the different nationalities within our borders so succesfull once was so great. And now I have to defend myself against THIS!
My primary reaction to the whole of the PVV is SHAME ON YOU! I
Dear Mrs. Kroes,
Over the last year, there have been too many incidents where the prime-minister, Mark Rutte, has appeared weak in the face of Wilders’ agitations or lacking vision with regards to Europe. Although talented, he does urgently require some tutoring on both aspects. Having the courage to speak out instead of silent appeasing, whether it concerns the Queen or Muslims or Polish immigrants, should be the hallmark of a real statesman. Having and explaining a vision on Europe is also better than having to scramble and learn what Europe is actually about as he had to do in 2011.
It does reflect badly on your party. It does reflect badly on the Netherlands. Why not give him a call?
dear Neelie, on behalf of all the citizens in Holland who are still gratefull for the efforts of the Polish people in the past and nowadays I thank you for your comment against the PVV. It issad to see that our country slowly is sliding into intolerance. Where and when will it end?

I am from Hungary. Let’s put aside the differences between our nations, and unite against racism, imperialism and colonialism. I can’t believe that in the 21st century these people still have overseas colonies and still they want to teach others about democracy and media pluralism. These western colonialists are exploiting Eastern European workers. They rule Europe according to the “divide et impera” principle.
Thank you mr/mrs J.A.M. van Asten! Your story gives a bright insight of the underlying real problems. As well as your reflections prove a ‘get real’ sense in the more sophisticated way I was asking for in my former comment. It seems to me that your story could contribute even more to the international/EU debate when translated in English. Do you see a way to achieve this, and/or can I be of any help to you?
Actually, the wife of Mr. Geert Wilders is from Eastern Europe, from Hungary. Her name is Krisztina Márfai and she was a diplomat.
I am wondering how many Dutch women have lost their jobs in the red light district.
As a matter of fact, I LEFT what was “my” country. Because of the PVV. Because of – as a commenter above pointed out – I had to explain to my non-Dutch friends, over and over again, “PVV ? That is not me”. Because of my grandfather’s inheritance, an inheritance of WWII-resistance, of not putting up with boots that walk over the faces of the weakest.
That is why I live a major, German-speaking city now. Where living and working as a stranger, where BEING a stranger, is not something held against you. Where there is a very refreshing wind of… acceptance of other people, of their work, of their needs and, heck yes, of their contributions to common life.
That is why I shall not, I repeat: I SHALL NOT returnn to the Netherlands as long as the PVV has a scrap of power there.
Resist !
@magyari
I assume to be a citizen of the world. As such I would not be acquainted to differences between nations. I admit there exist differences between ideologies. Geert W. insults us all East-Europeans. He simply makes no difference between a beggar living in Holland and a pillar of the society (meaning: hard-working tax-payer) living somewhere in Eastern Europe.
@marosy
I like women, no matter their origin. As a courtesy to myself I don’t think we should lower us so far to remind Geert of his wife.
@Jan van Oort
Please take it the lighter way – mean individuals, no matter their origin – live in all places, all cities, all countries. You cannot escape their influence. Therefore we all should fight them – not ignore them, not running away.
John 8:32 / What is Geert’s truth anyway ?
No. Fascism is never to be taken “lightly”. Mean individuals do net, by the sheer fact of their being mean, sum up to fascism. And I DO fight the PVV – through this kind of posts. Through active publications.
sure, Jan, here’s the active publication: http://www.numeris.com.ro/news.htm
and more is yet to come
question 4 all:
is there another “Black Tulip” operation planned ? for Poles, Magyars, Romanians and all other East-Europeans ?
maybe Geert wanna be a lord-of-war implementing RAWAGEDE genocide for all East-Europeans ?
he surely can be treated, if u know what I mean
