Brussels to forbid unwrapped sweets

August 17th, 1993

Myth: Local sweet shops are being forced to close due to Brussels regulations forbidding them to sell unwrapped sweets.
(Evening Standard, 29.7.93, p 10)

Response: There is no Brussels regulation existing or planned which would affect the selling of unwrapped sweets.
