    Hello Epso,

Do you happen to have any information regarding the status of the EPSO/AD/289/14 FRENCH-LANGUAGE (FR) LAWYER-LINGUISTS (AD7) competition?

Thank you in advance for your attention.

    Bonjour,
Je souhaiterais savoir si la difficulté des questions du concours change selon si la question précédente à correctement était répondue ou selon le classement de la question dans l’examen, c’est à dire, les premières étant plus facile que les dernières questions.
    En vous remerciant,

    Dear EPSO team,
I think it is high time some sort of investigation in the quality of the translations of the verbal reasoning texts was made for first language other than EN, FR and DE. It is not the first time I get a surprisingly low score (despite extensive preparation) while I used to score much higher when the exam was in my second language. My experience is shared by many other people in my situation. Could you please indicate where I can address an official request? Thanks.

Hello! Is there any info about incoming competitions? I read about the fields of data protection and business law. But I haven’t understood yet if it is for adminitrators or other categories, cause the english notice board says “lawyers”, while the french one says “administrateurs”.

Moreover, is it possible to find anywhere new tests to practice with?

The case study should be on PC and in the 28 EU member states tests centres and will take around half day.
Rest of the Ac will be on a different date and should last 1 day. Every information will be communicated through your account.

    Dear Emmanuelle,

Thank you for your reply. However may I ask whether the tests usually start WHILE the application is still open or only afterwards? I.e. When is the First possible date to sit the exam? This is not clear from the FAQs. And how long is the time span altogether for one test phase usually? Two weeks, a month, two months? Also, are there usually more than one date to choose from in each place or just one? Thank you very much in advance.

    Dear EPSO team,
I understand that the exam for administrator 2014 is AD5. I presume this is a grade for beginner. Question is: if we are selected for AD5, are we entitle to apply for higher grade (AD7-AD9-more) considering that work experience requirements are met ? I have 15 years of work experience, so i am not too sure if AD5 is suitable for me.
If not, what are the opportunities available for people having long experience (beside AD5 and AD7 competition)?

Same question for AST, i have seen there is a competition for AST3; i presume this is also not suitable for people with long experience.

Or have the three CB tests (excluding the numerical) different weighting?

    Dear EPSO team,

I have a question concerning the languages for the ucoming AD5 (generalist) competition.
I understand that Language 1 should be your mother tongue and could be either one of the 23 official EU languages. I also understand that language 2 should be either DE, EN or French.
    Right?
I also understand that the choice of languages in the application form cannot be changed anymore.
    Right?
What I do not understand is: which parts of the competition will be held in which language? In particular the verbal reasoning, will it always be in language 2? And the situational judgement tests also in language 2? Is there anything in language 1 during the computer-based tests?

    Thanks! Anne

For the language 1 it’s not necessary to be your mother tongue, but you need to have the level required.
Yes you can’t change what you mentioned in the application form.

Particularly it reports “EN”, that should mean ENglish but in the validated Application Form I clearly underlined the language requested for the test, that is:
    – Main Language (language 1): Italian
    – Second Language (language 2): English
I’ ve phone called the prometric centre but they weren’t able to clarify if the test is going to be hold in Italian or in English.

      Dear Rocco,
You will be taking the tests in either your ‘language 1′ or your ‘language 2′ following the language of each test mentioned in the competition notice.
The ‘exam code’ does not refer to the language of the tests. It refers to the language in which you will be receiving instructions at the test centre.

    Hi!
I read that it is possible to apply for both competition AD5 for Audit and Generalists.
Do I need to do two separate application or it is possible to apply for both in the same application form?
    regards,
    ana

I follow the instructions when applying. I still don’t get the application forms. Can you also please ensure that all languages have test instructions? What is for instance the idea with the squares with patterns in them? Should we identify a missing pattern? A sequence? Or what?

I would like to apply for the post of research administrators for Parliamentary research. It is not clear to me how many second or foreign languages it is necessary to speak. Would a knowledge of English together with a Eu mother language (in my case Italian) suffice? or is it necessary to know also German or French in addition to English?

    Kind Regards
    Elisabetta

    Dear EU Careers Team,

I would like to ask whether I should go through the whole online application completely (EPSO/AD/276/14), once initiated, or I could simply fill it in gradually in two or three-day period and then of course choose the validation option?

Thank you in advance for your consideration.

    Kind Regards,
    Foteini

      Dear Foteini,
You can fill it gradually. Don’t forget to save it every time you update it. The responsibility for completing your online application before the deadline is entirely yours. We would advise you not to wait until the last minute before applying, since exceptional web traffic or technical failure may mean that you have to start the whole online application process over again, which you will not be able to do once the deadline has passed.
      Kind regards,
      Ana-Maria

Can you inform (Or indicate the document where I can find the information), as to the salary that entails EPSO/AD/276/14 (already opened) and EPSO/AD/277/14 (opening tomorrow) competitions? Considering they are both AD5, is the salary the same??

    Thank you

There is a technical problem in the self-assessment tests. In the situational judgement test it is not always possible to “pick” and “place” the “most/least effective” icon. I’ve already taken the test twice… I’ve already checked if my computer was responsible but it is not the case as some friends face the same issue.
Unfortunately you cannot fill in your application without completing these tests.
Thank you for reporting it to Prometrics.
Please notify me when the system is back on track.

EPSO competition for Administrators that was about to open today 13th March 2014 is only for generalists position? What University Degree is exactly suitable so as to participate at this competition (eg. Is a Law Degree considered to be a proper one)? Wont there be any open call for AD5 or AD7 on the Law field, like the previous years?
    Kind regads, Thank you
