Policy Analyst –  Design for Policy

Alessandro is an architect and designer trained at the Politecnico of Milano. Prior to joining the EU Policy Lab he ran a small communication and creative innovation studio and taught design and innovation at Elisava, Barcelona. He is a senior practitioner of design management, design direction, service design, design thinking and concept/context mapping and is trained in group facilitation and participatory leadership. His key challenge is to contribute to the development of a design culture in the Commission. His responsibilities include: design of user-centred, collaborative methods and tools to explore complex issues; facilitation of workshops and creative sessions; concept and context mapping; process mapping; ethnographic research. He is also responsible for the Lab’s visual identity, communication tools and physical space design.
