Policy Analyst – Foresight
Cristiano joined the JRC Foresight, Modelling, Behavioural Insight and Design for Policy Unit in mid-August 2019 to deepen the integration of JRC scientific advice into EU policy making, notably through foresight and horizon scanning capacity contributing to the EU Policy Lab. Cristiano previously worked at the JRC Seville mainly on foresight projects and training. He also worked with a think tank in Brazil developing international projects for GEF (Global Environmental Facility) and the EU Commission, as well as supporting national innovation and sustainability policies and ecosystem actors. His research interests include alternative ways of increasing interactions and learning between social stakeholders to bridge the gap between RTDI and individuals in society; this will lead to inclusive governance and open innovation, as well as responsible and sustainable production, consumption and living.
