Rebuilding the body via a cyborg as a response to the imposed cultural norms
In this project, the laws of evolution have been altered. In 2030, Homo Sapiens has turned into a Super-Human by means of body prostheses. Super-Humans have become hybrid trans-species with cybernetic implants which enable them to transcend the physical limitations of the body. In this future, people want to return to the physical body, and bodily mutations have become a commodity for capitalism. The body is an open project; its materiality is used to experiment and to resist dominant norms. The cyborg is born to rebuild the body as a response to imposed cultural norms that are rooted in and reproduce inequality.
