This month has certainly been different, and for some in our Promoting Enterprise community it has been particularly challenging. April has seen many policy changes and updates, Commission initiatives, hackathons and further actions. We have seen SMEs pitching in and doing their part, pushes and drives to make funding available to those in need, and a strong commitment to keeping the innovative and entrepreneurial spirit alive.

EEPA 2019 Shortlist announced

Youth Essay Competition 2019 – Launch
Youth are the future, and their voices, opinions and energy are what will shape the future of entrepreneurship and enterprise in Europe. Aiming to tap into this energy, the European Commission has launched the next edition of the annual Youth Essay Competition to find out what the leaders of tomorrow have to say. Be sure to look out across all social media for exciting competition news, as well as tips and tricks from past winners on how to submit a winning entry.
The European Enterprise Promotion Awards (EEPA) are still underway, searching for the best projects from across the participating countries. Do not hesitate to contact your national coordinators and have a read through this edition for the latest winner testimonials.

EEPA 2019 – Your questions answered
The European Enterprise Promotion Awards (EEPA) are a fantastic opportunity to be recognised for innovative initiatives in the domains of entrepreneurship and enterprise. Entering the awards can be daunting and the application process is extensive, so Promoting Enterprise has launched an EEPA 2019 FAQ series on the News Portal. This series answers common questions and provides anecdotes and advice from past winners, jury members and other EEPA stakeholders.
In addition to EEPA, the Promoting Enterprise team have been reporting on interesting events across Europe, including the European Social Innovation Competition and recent funding calls for new projects.

EEPA 2019 – 13 years of European excellence
The European Enterprise Promotion Awards (EEPA) are now in their 13th cycle and looking for the next winning projects to take their place in the EEPA hall of fame. The awards launched at the end of January 2019 and all of the National Coordinators are working hard to find worthy projects to compete for the national EEPA titles.
In this edition you can find more information on EEPA 2019 as well as all the latest Portal articles answering your EEPA FAQs and providing inspiration for EEPA 2019 candidates.

SME Assembly 2018 – The highlights
That’s a wrap…for the SME Assembly 2018! Last week, from 19-21 November, the SME Assembly 2018 took place in Graz, Austria under the Austrian presidency of the EU. The theme for this year’s Assembly was ‘Connect.Share.Innovate’ and saw delegates, SMEs, startups and key policy makers bridging gaps, sharing skills and laying the foundations for future innovation.

EEPA 2018 – Who is on the shortlist?
The time has come, the moment we have all been waiting for…the EEPA 2018 shortlist announcement! Find out which projects have been selected to compete in the EEPA finals at the SME Assembly 2018 in Graz below, and congratulations to all of the 2018 national winners. Thank you to our excellent EEPA 2018 Jury for making the tough decisions, and for sharing all your advice and tips on the Promoting Enterprise News Portal.
